Even lady beetles need morning tea breaks.

..did I lie on my back on the green ant infested grass to get this shot? Well I almost did, until, (duh!) it occurred to me that I could break the stem and hold it up. Perhaps that makes me a less intrepid would-be photographer, but green ants are so ouchy!

You can see this little fellow has lost his tail at one stage. These skinks are very common in the garden, this one basking in the warm morning sun, on the Magnolia tree.
