Q1: Australia’s Tallest Building
Glass and Water

Sunset on Surfers

Surfers Paradise is the playground of the Gold Coast.
Stannum House

This house of 11 bedrooms, triple brick walls, Italian marble fireplaces, hand-engraved glass windows and granite surfaces is an icon in Tenterfield. Its true colour is a more eye-blinding pink, but even still it is a beautiful structure.
It was built in 1883 and underwent a six and a half year restoration work, which was completed in 2003.
Story Bridge at Twilight

Observing that my recent interest in photography has made me a little bolder in some areas of life which I may have been a tiny bit chicken about, my husband (insanely, recklessly, and without due care for my person) suggested we might like to do a bridge climb.
The Story bridge is the largest cantilever bridge in Australia. I admire it for the remarkable feat of engineering it is. However, I am content to continue admiring it through the lens, with my feet on firm ground.
Top of the World

At least, it’s the top of the Story Bridge, in Brisbane. I imagine the view would be nauseating in the extreme …lovely; but to imagine is as far as I venture. I quite firmly believe that bridge climbing is the prerogative of the suicidal, and nothing short of an audible, direct command from the throne room of heaven, in the presence of witnesses, would induce me to attempt such a thing while in my right mind.
Though the folk atop here seemed calm enough, one can only speculate what drove them to fly in the face of nature in such a manner.

Wayfarer’s Rest

You know you are heading into seriously deep country, when mysterious structures of indefinable purpose appear, seemingly in the middle of nowhere.
The Sky Walk

I can’t tell you what’s at the end. It is unnatural to hang out in space in such a manner, and knowing that the board walk through the tree tops of this World Heritage listed national park, does, in places, suspend you 70 meters from the ground was quite enough for me.
