Blue Triangle Butterfly

The upper side of the wing is black, the blue triangle is bluer. These are rather fast little creatures, even for butterflies, so I was pleased to catch this one dining.
Granny’s Cloak

The colour and texture and markings of this Granny’s Cloak moth rival the prettiest butterflies.
Giant Stick Insect ( a little worse for wear)

Clearly, it had been a hard day for this Goliath. See the whites of his eyes showing? A trip through my laundry would intimidate even a sturdier creature than this crunchy chap. Though what he was doing there, I can’t imagine.
Swallowtail Exits the Scene

There’s no negotiating with butterflies. They simply will not turn and smile for the camera by request, so the odd rear view is unavoidable.
