  1. Now that is a beautiful photo. I don’t know why, but this photo has the feeling of a snowy place. But that can’t be the case, here in Australia 😉

    Love how the bird’s nest is just the right size for it… not too big, not too small… just right!

  2. We thought the same thing! (about the snowy feel) The shot above I took while scrambling down the bank of the creek, but there was another I took from the bridge above, which had the same feel to it.

    The bridge shot had a lot of light reflected on the water, and this closer one – perhaps it is the blurry, pale log in the background, and the fact that the bird looks so snug? It was a great place for a nest from a safety perspective – it was in a fallen tree, right in the centre of the creek. I don’t expect it gave the poor bird much shelter from the elements though.
