The Chicklette Charms the Birds

We spent yesterday at Lamington National Park.  Stopping to view the bird feeding, the Chicklette was accosted by this curious rosella.

It was not long before Blossy’s afternoon tea was forfeit.

With the arrival of a second parrot the battle for the biscuit was waged over her head.

Eeeek!

With the interloper vanquished, the victor settles in to enjoy a bite to eat.

  1. Great captures, Blue!
Your daughter reminds me a little of Melissa, with the dark hair and freckles.
She looks like she’s having fun!

  5. Michaela, thanks, it was a lot of fun. Poor Chicklette is the whitest of our number and easily burned in our sunny climate.

Amanda, there were king parrots as well – beautiful!

Vimal, a bunch of them together is quite a sight. 🙂

Nivin, yes, she is one of the many little girls of our house (some days it seems like there’s twenty, but there’s really only four 😛 ) The third pic was my favourite, too: I liked how she could smile so peacefully with birds fighting in her hair.

BEautiful! I like the feather headress shot too–and the sweet smiles in all of them–what a dreamy-eyed beauty!
