Fee, I can imagine your boys would have a great time. Mr BB enjoyed the day, and particularly the displays of weaponry and the blacksmithing demonstration.
Made me want to come home and read “Men of Iron” for the fourth, or fifth.. time 😀

Were the riders riding very slowly
Was it real or just an exhibition?

Vimal, it was very fast. 🙂
I had to focus on a point in the middle of the run, and hope that I judged it right to shoot when they reached it.
As for was it real… not real in the sense that they aimed, as in time past, to unseat the foe, or something more dreadful, but they were aiming for the shield, and points were awarded only when a lance was broken on the opponent’s shield.
