Here is a little shallot, gone to flower. Not so elegant as a rose, perhaps, but… with plenty of personality.

hehehe…I like it. It looks crispy. Here in the American South, I would say nappy but I know that has different meanings throughout the world.

Burstmode, you’re right. Here, we would not likely use “nappy” and “shallot” in the same sentence. 🙂 I think from the definition I read, perhaps “frizzy” comes close?
