A few of my favourite things..

We’ve been in the country.  Deep in the country.

If you don’t count the extensive flooding, and waking to the sound of cows licking the windows at 5am each day, it was a lot of fun.  No, really it was.  I like the country a lot.  Cows… not so much.

Hope you all had a restful time over the break, and that 2011 will be a blessed time of new beginnings.

  1. This is a beautiful photo! IMO, well worth listening to the bovines lick the windows. OK … maybe at 5 AM is asking a little much … 🙂

  3. Cheryl, thanks for your comment. I’ve had a little wander over your blog this morning, but will come back to it when I don’t have so many little people climbing over me and clamouring for attention. I like what I’ve seen so far! 🙂

Michaela, thanks! We all enjoyed reading your turkey stories when we came home – had to share them with Mr BB and the girls because they wanted to know what I was laughing about. I’m glad you did get to eat it in the end 😉

Those cows?! The one morning they had not arrived at the window yet, I woke to screams of ‘Mama! Mama! Come quick! There’s a cow eating your shirt!’

Sure enough, I ran to the verandah (all washing being hung under cover due to rainy conditions), and there was a cow monstering my shirt, and a big, BIG pool of drool on the floor. Gross. Gross. Gross!
